We are nearly there. It's been three years since we sat around a table talking about the idea of a community radio station. We had to understand the technology, raise some money, start broadcasting in the front room of a small terraced house, and then to complete a 54 page application form to apply for a licence. As the weather jogs along towards a promised summer there's still a threat in the air of high winds, perhaps even a cold spell, to blow the blossom away.

Local skateboarders, BMXers and bladers will soon be able to perfect their tricks and jumps in Felixstowe now the contract to build a skatepark in the resort has been awarded.

Building work will finally start at the site of the new £180,000 skatepark, at Orwell Green in Felixstowe, after the Easter holidays, and it should be completed and open for the summer.
