Hi to all we are Felixstowe Bored Kids, A group that has been set up since Dec 2008 and we went public on the 1st March 2009.
Our aims are to get all 13-20 year olds off the streets into a warm, safe, trouble free envioment,
Where we can have fun, train, learn new skills, build on the skills that we have but dont know how to use YET.
We are looking for a property to meet in at the moment so that when the bad weather come's (sorry to say this but it will) we can still meet in some where safe,
We group has three levels to it 1) a members group of 13-20 year olds who live in the felixstowe area.
2) a members-extra group of 13-20 year olds who dont live in the felixstowe
but come here on holiday and want to come back.
3) an Advisory group who are over 20 years old.
Here's the good bit all the events that we offer our members are "FREE" yes you dont pay for anything.

What you have said is so so true and we are trying to put things back the way they shoul be,
People some times dont seem to remember thet the youth of today are our adults of tommorrow,
So what is so wrong in showing them how they can make a differance in the world. I know it's only a small start but they need the help now,

Kids, don't be bored - it's easy to say that in Felixstowe, and I don't know how you get along, what do you do with yourselves, but being bored is so... boring.

We need a place for us all to use. I wanted to use the Spa Pavilion, but we didn't have any financial history, so we get lookalike bands instead. Then there was the Herman de Stern, I'd been promised money to turn it into a community centre, but it was burnt down the day after planning permission was granted. So I started a radio station.

We still need a community centre, with a small theatre that will allow 2-300 people to enjoy a good time, and we need meeting rooms, and ... and.

There's a lot we can all do, if we get together. Saxmundham have a plan to raise £5 million to build a community centre, that's a town of about 4,000 people. Felixstowe, Walton and the villages have over 30,000 people, and we have... nothing we can call our own. The Spa, the Leisure Centre, even the Brackenbury are run for profit by companies that have njo interest whatsoever in us, or our town.

You 'bored kids' have the answer. You have the energy, the need, the enthusiasm, to get something done. Don't be bored - have a go at your parents, tell your teachers, talk to your local councillors (you do know who they are don't you). Tell them what you want. Then go for it.
