Felixstowe

Suffolk's hidden treasure

Having moved to Felixstowe last September after living with the 'concrete cows' in Milton Keynes for more than 30 years... I am wondering why it took me so long to move here...

20 years ago I did a brief stint in Ipswich and barely visited Felixstowe and when I did it was with a 'boyfriend', who didn't do it justice... Now, I feel like I have come home, its hard to remember, or imagine myself living anywhere else in the UK.

My sons who will be 12 and 14 next month, love living here and we are keen to help the local community and become as involved as we can.

As a home educating family, this will begin with creating a local home education group, as I'm told there isn't one here at the moment. I will be meeting with the council and hope to take part in the Learning Alliance Fun Day, to promote Home Ed in the area.

We are also planning to do regular beach clean ups, starting this week... I just need to find out where i can leave the collected rubbish as I don't think my neighbours will appreciate me dragging it all back home.

We would love to help out with Felixstowe Radio and with any other suitable projects that arise, just give us a shout if you think there is anything we can do to help.

I look forward to sharing with and following others here

Blessings

Jaye x

Hi Jaye, a familar tale - I too look forward to exciting times ahead - as my kids (twins now 22) have left home, I am digging out the old me that was there before I became "dad" - pretty exciting in itself really.
